Just Drafts Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Just Drafts is a local-first Android writing app published by eldal. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Draft content

Drafts are stored on your Android device. Just Drafts does not operate advertising or analytics services and does not send your draft content to the developer.

If you connect Google Drive or Dropbox, the app sends backup files to the private app-storage area of the service you select. Cloud backup is optional and your use of that service is also governed by its policies.

Account connections

When you connect Google Drive or Dropbox, the app receives authorization needed to access its own private app-storage area. Credentials are stored on your device and used only for backup and restore. Just Drafts does not request access to unrelated files in your cloud account.

Encryption and device protection

The paid version offers optional AES-256-GCM encryption. Local drafts are protected using Android Keystore. Encrypted cloud backups use the recovery password you create, allowing restoration on another device when the correct password is supplied. The developer cannot see or recover that password. Optional app locking uses biometrics or your device screen lock.

Purchases and trial

The app provides a seven-day local trial. Lifetime purchases are processed by Google Play. The developer does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Retention and deletion

Local drafts and settings remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Cloud backup data remains in the connected provider's private app storage until replaced or removed through the provider's controls.

Children

Just Drafts is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

This policy may be updated as features or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised for material changes.
